Connections: International Turning Exchange 1995-2005 is a retrospective compilation covering 10 years of an international residency program operated by the Wood Turning Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The International Turning Exchange program brings together woodturners, furniture makers, scholars and photojournalists from around the globe every summer for two months to collaborate, experiment, and share cultures, inspirations and techniques.
The book includes expert essays on the program and its artistic contributions to the lathe-turning and wood are field, as well as reflections on and from the artists, furniture makers, sculptors, photojournalists and scholars with representative artwork created by the participants.
