Artist Bio:
Chance Coalter is an Assistant Professor in the Cabinet and Furniture Technology Department at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA. He has a B.A. in Applied Design from San Diego State University, where he studied under Wendy Maruyama. He strives to make objects that survive on their own merit through a combination of their caretakers' admiration and their structural integrity. He aims to design work that pushes him to become a better craftsman and to solve complex problems.
