Scott Alexander

"I have been an artist/maker my whole life; things of all forms and functions and different materials. The material I find myself always drawn back to is wood, green wood especially. Working with green wood (wood that has been recently cut and has not had an opportunity to season / dry) allows me to make a physical connection to my pieces unlike any other medium I’ve worked in. There is something very special about cutting open a log and seeing the colors and amazing grain, coupled with the earthy smell. I keep my designs classically clean to allow the natural beauty of the wood to shine. I believe that my job as a wood artist is to be an editor of Mother Nature’s best work, to highlight the natural beauty of the material." — Scott Alexander

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0411/4487/7221/collections/centerforartinwood_alexander_designs.jpg?v=1597068675
